Frequently asked
How Giraffe works — plain answers. Nothing is charged until a Giraffe approves your Seat.
What is Giraffe?+
Giraffe is how small groups in Gurugram go do things together — fitness, skills, culture — led by a real person called a Giraffe. Each Giraffe runs a Trail: a short series of sessions you join as a Squad, near you.
What is a Trail, a Seat, and a Squad?+
A Trail is the plan — a set number of sessions over a few weeks. A Seat is your place in it. A Squad is the small group of people who take Seats in the same Trail and go through it together.
How do I join a Trail?+
Open a Giraffe's page, pick a Trail, and ask for a Seat. It is free to ask. The Giraffe reviews every request herself and approves or passes. You only see a payment option once she approves your Seat.
When do I pay — and how much?+
Never before approval. Once the Giraffe approves your Seat, you get a link to pay. Prices are set per Trail and shown before you pay, inclusive of GST. Your Seat is held, not booked, until you pay.
Is there a trial session?+
Some Trails offer a first session to start — free or paid, the Giraffe decides. If it is paid and you continue to the full Trail, that trial amount is credited toward the full price.
How long is my approval good for?+
An approved Seat is held for 24 hours. Pay within that window to lock it in. If it lapses, just ask again — it takes a tap.
What happens if the Trail is full?+
You can hold a place in line — a numbered spot on the waitlist, with no payment. If a Seat opens, the Giraffe can offer it to you, and we let you know.
What if the Giraffe changes the plan or cancels?+
The Giraffe coordinates everything through Giraffe, so any change — a new venue or a moved session — is passed on to everyone holding a Seat. If she cancels the Room, every paid Seat is refunded in full.
How do refunds work?+
If a Room is cancelled, you are refunded in full. For other cases, see our Refund & Cancellation policy. Nothing is ever charged before a Giraffe approves your Seat.
